Meet Danielle
Food is a universally spoken language, and Danielle has long embraced listening to all it has to say. Georgia born and the eldest child of a large family, she spent her early life steeped in the flavors of southern cuisine. Blessed with opportunity and a curious palette, she’s spent much of her life chasing new cuisine and knowledge of the cultures and people who create it. She has honed her natural passion for food and expanded on it by getting involved at every occasion with chefs, home cooks and artisans all over the world.
While in culinary school and apprenticing at a prestigious Atlanta restaurant, Danielle was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Unable to hold a knife, much less work a kitchen line, she shifted her focus from creating beautiful meals to nutrition and the power of food to foster healing. This new knowledge invigorated her to find a platform where she could share all she had learned – in the kitchen, and about nutrition and the body – and when she was unable to find exactly what she sought, she chose to create one.
Cook’D Kitchen and personal “cheffing” marries Danielle’s fervor for food and honoring people through service. Remember how Grandma’s cooking always tasted just a little bit better, no matter how carefully you followed the recipe? Coming into people’s homes allows for a deeper connection and that energy is palatable when you eat. Food that evokes emotion, dishes that feel like a hug, and a moment that lingers in the walls of your home is what eating, gathering, and Cook’D Kitchen is all about.
Danielle’s experiences with food and nutrition have led her around the globe, and now she is bringing all of that directly to your door. Where passion, talent and knowledge meet; a creation can take root and flourish into the most incredible gifts. Danielle is the root, and Cook’D is her gift to you.
